Between January 1911 and April 1912, 49 people in Louisiana and Texas were viciously murdered with axes. Broken mirrors were found at the crime scenes. While it seems that most of the murders were race-related, as all of the victims were either black or mixed, the possibility exists that some of these attacks were the work of the same prolific axe murderer assumed to have committed other killings across the Continental United States.
